Video Systems takes part in GLASSTEC 2022

Finally is taking place in Düsseldorf GLASSTEC 2022, the most important meeting place for the glass industry 20-23 SeptemberGlasstec, the most important international fair of the glass industry, is going to take place again and Video Systems will be present at Hall 14 | Stand 14G56. It will be the occasion to introduce IMAGO, the comple range of solutions for the glass quality controll developed by the Company.IMAGO, the complete range of solutions by Video Systems for the glass quality controlVideo Systems will present the new catalogue IMAGO, with its 9 high performing solutions developed for a demanding customer who takes in great consideration efficiency, cost-effectiveness and sustainability. All the IMAGO solutions are equipped with AI and IIoT technologies and use special cameras developed according to the needs and requirements of the glass sector; they are also equipped with advanced connectivity technology to grant a remote control of the machines in real time and a reduction of costs. In addition, the ethernet connection of the machines allows the monitoring of the production plant, the collection of production data and the direct connection with the management system for a complete 4.0 production approach.Furthermore, Video Systems can develop tailor made solutions: accordingto the analysis of customers needs, on the basis of data and production processes we develop models and simulations to provide those tailored solutions that make our customers and its processes unique in the market.Oculus and Vertigo displayed in our standWe are going to display in our stand Oculus and Vertigo, the 2 most successful solutions for the glass quality control. The machines will be at disposal of customers and visitors for demos.OculusOculus is a solution for the detection of cuts and defects on the containers and it is a substitute of the traditional pointing machines. Developed to empower the existing carousel machines on the market, it replaces the traditional pointing solutions with an innovative solution characterized by reduced dimensions. Oculus is completed by MICRO SPOT, the powerful illuminator that issues a light beam that detectst he defects also on very heavy bottles. The easy installation and an increasing performance of a rotative empowered with Oculus grants a quick ROI and increases the efficiency and effectiveness in controls.Developed in 2009, today Oculus is the benchmark to upgrade the rotative systems.VertigoVERTIGO is the laboratory contactless quality control systems that monitors:Verticality of the containerCrooked neck deviationLabelling area flatnessContainer roundnessMeasuring and calibrating diametersMeasuring height of containersIt can be used in laboratory or directly on production lines (cold-end) and in the hot-end area for checking. There are many reasons to visit GLASSTEC, we are waiting for you!Book a demo at: sales@videosystems.it

Video Systems takes part in the international hackathon of BonsAPPs

During the hackathon of the European project BonsAPPs, Video Systems has presented its solution of AIAt the end of March it was held at Villa Griffone, Bologna, one of the steps of the European project BonsAPPs, of which Video Systems is a member. The team of experts of Video Systems took part in the event to present the AI solutions developed according the guidelines of the programme of BonsAPPs, the consortium that puts together industrial organizations and universities involved on the themes of artificial intelligence. In fact, BonsAPPs was founded to develop solutions based on AI to solve the challenges and the problems that the industrial production faces very day. Moreover, BonsAPPs addresses its efforts especially to SME, to help them to implement a digitalization path thorough the access, the development and the use of AI in a simple and affordable way.The BonsAPPs project has been developed along a number of operative steps that have engaged many international partners; and at the end of March the hackathon was held at the presence of the teams of experts. In that occasion the team of Video Systems has presented the result of its research, based on an edge solution of AI for the anomaly detection, in order to find defects in the production of glass bottles. For a long time Video Systems has been part of different research European projects, where the company gives its 30 year experience in the field of product quality control and process quality control. These are occasions to share competences, to study and to grow together with institutions and organizations from all over the world.

New nVidia Tesla V100S GPUs for extreme AI performance

Thanks to the new nVidia Tesla V100S cards, our GPU computing center has dramatically increased its performance.Tesla V100S cards achieve extreme performance as stated by the manufacturer nVidia:"NVIDIA® Tesla® V100 Tensor Core is the most advanced data center GPU ever built to accelerate AI, HPC, data science and graphics. It is based on the NVIDIA Volta architecture, available in 16 and 32GB configurations and offers the performance of 100 CPUs in one GPU, enabling scientists, researchers and engineers to tackle problems once considered unsolvable. With 43,000 Tensor cores, Tesla V100 is the first GPU in the world to break the record of 100 teraops (TOPS) of deep learning performance. The second-generation NVIDIA NVLink ™ system connects multiple V100 GPUs at up to 160 GB / s to create the world's most powerful processing servers. AI models that would require weeks of computing resources on previous systems can now be trained in a few days. With this substantial reduction in training times, a whole series of problems will now be solved thanks to artificial intelligence.HPC is a fundamental pillar of modern science. From weather forecasts to the detection of drugs and the search for new energy sources, researchers use huge processing systems to simulate and predict our world. AI expands traditional HPC by allowing researchers to analyze huge volumes of data by obtaining useful information where simulation alone would not be enough to produce realistic simulations. "Thanks to these new infrastructure investments, we are increasingly supporting our customers and their AI-based solutions.
