Kick-off of the HORIZON EUROPE project LASERWAY

Video Systems is pleased to announce the kick-off of the European collaborative Horizon Europe LaserWay project. The project gathers a consortium of 16 partners and is coordinated by IDEKO in Spain. Video Systems will contribute to the design and development of vision systems to implement fast and precise controls for final improvement of laser-based manufacturing processes. The LaserWay project aims to revolutionize the manufacturing industry by replacing conventional, inefficient, and environmentally harmful methods with highly flexible production lines based on high-speed laser technology. Laser blanking, laser micro-drilling, and extreme high-speed laser material deposition (EHLA) are the three laser manufacturing technologies selected for their potential to create more sustainable manufacturing processes and products. The project focuses on developing WayFASTER machines to improve the performance of the laser technologies through lightweight designs, vibration control techniques, and program optimizations tailored for high-speed laser applications. WayBETTER Photonics aims to ensure precise delivery of the laser beam at extreme speeds, targeting three laser technologies with unique demands. The WaySTRONGER integration concept aims to enhance the sustainability, resilience, and flexibility of current manufacturing processes by integrating new technologies mechanically and digitally. The project's success will provide a competitive edge for industries, such as automotive and aerospace, by reducing processing times, improving material usage, and enhancing end-product quality. The advancements made through the LaserWay project will drive innovation in high-speed laser processing, solidifying Europe's position as a global leader in advanced manufacturing technologies. The LaserWay project is an European project funded under Horizon Europe Framework Programme (HORIZON).Video Systems roleWithin the project, Video Systems will take care to design and develop new vision applications expressly dedicated to the control and monitoring of the high-speed and high-precision laser manufacturing processes, in particular fitting the demanding requirements coming from the objectives planned for the laser micro drilling and the laser blanking processes.Video Systems will make treasure of its long going experience and advanced skills to adapt its technological solutions in the field of artificial vision and artificial intelligence to the high productivity and flexibility expectations targeted by the technical advancements foreseen in this innovative project. We are quite excited to be part of this technological adventure which will pose us in front of new challenges to be faced and solved also through the cooperation and support of our consortium partners. Video Systems at the METEC fair 2023

Video Systems is going to take part in the incoming edition of METEC, the international fair specialized in the metal sector that takes place in Düsseldorf 12 to 16 JuneVideo Systems couldn’t miss METEC, the world leading appointment in the metals sector that takes place in Düsseldorf 12 to 16 June and that attracts companies, decision makers and researchers involved in the new challenges in the production processes of metals. In our booth Hall 1, booth C46 there will be displayed the solutions and demos designed by Video Systems and explained by our experts. When it refers to the metallurgy industry, Video Systems has a lot to offer, not only because of Adamantis®, the complete range of quality control solutions that integrate artificial vision and AI; but also for its long term efforts in research and the participation to European funded projects such as ZDMP, InterQ and ZDZWAdamantis® for the metal industryAdamantis® is a complete range of sensors, cameras and quality control systems and measuring systems specifically designed and manufactured for use in the hot rolling process and to withstand the severe conditions of the steel environment. Moreover, Adamantis® reduces by 50% the energy requirement compared with the current medium levels of the metal industry: this leads to a progressive reduction in the consumption of energy and a better sustainability in production. For many years Video Systems has been investing in R&D and it is partner of European funded projects - ZDMP, InterQ and ZDZW - that aim to develop new technologies to reduce errors and waste, in other words to move toward a greener production. We look forward to welcoming you at METEC - Düsseldorf | Hall 1 – Booth C46Book an appointment with our team of experts: sales@videosystems.it
